## Full Description

UPSC और State PCS में Geography के questions physical processes, climate, resources, agriculture, population, industries, environment और current events को जोड़कर पूछे जा सकते हैं।

Indus, Ganga और Brahmaputra river systems द्वारा निर्मित alluvial plains, their subdivisions, soil characteristics और agricultural significance को समझना जरूरी है।

Himalayan rivers की perennial nature, Peninsular rivers की characteristics, drainage patterns, tributaries, river basins और major dams को map-based preparation से जोड़ा जा सकता है।

Water scarcity, groundwater depletion, river pollution और inter-state water disputes जैसे contemporary issues को physical geography तथा governance दोनों से जोड़ा जा सकता है।

Southwest Monsoon की Arabian Sea और Bay of Bengal branches, monsoon trough, jet streams, El Niño तथा La Niña जैसे factors को Indian rainfall patterns के साथ जोड़कर पढ़ा जा सकता है।

Resources Geography में minerals, energy resources और their distribution महत्वपूर्ण हैं। Coal, iron ore, bauxite, manganese, petroleum, natural gas और other mineral resources के major producing regions को Indian map पर locate करना उपयोगी रहेगा।

Coal, petroleum, natural gas और hydropower के साथ solar, wind, biomass, geothermal और other renewable energy resources की potential तथा geographical distribution को पढ़ना चाहिए।

Iron and steel, cotton textiles, jute, sugar, cement, automobile, IT और other industries की geographical distribution को इन factors के साथ पढ़ना चाहिए।

भारत के major ports, important transport corridors और inland waterways को map-based preparation से पढ़ना चाहिए।

Fertility, mortality, life expectancy, sex ratio, literacy

World Geography में continents, major mountain ranges, plateaus, deserts, rivers, lakes, seas, straits और important geographical locations का अध्ययन किया जा सकता है। Himalayas, Andes, Rockies, Alps, Sahara, Gobi, Amazon, Nile, Mississippi, Yangtze और अन्य major physical features को world map पर locate करना useful रहेगा।

India और World maps पर mountains, rivers, passes, lakes, deserts, ports, mineral belts, agricultural regions और neighbouring countries को बार-बार locate करना चाहिए।

UPSC Mains GS Paper-I में physical geography, resources, geophysical phenomena, urbanisation, regional planning और climate-related issues महत्वपूर्ण हैं। For example, monsoon, cyclone, river system

State PCS aspirants को national और world Geography के साथ अपने राज्य की Geography भी अलग से तैयार करनी चाहिए।

इस Class Notes resource का practical use NCERT Geography, standard reference material, atlas और previous-year questions के साथ किया जा सकता है।

उसके बाद population, urbanisation और resources जैसे Human Geography topics तथा अंत में World Geography और map-based revision करें।

कुल मिलाकर, Drishti IAS Class Notes 2026-27 – भूगोल UPSC और State PCS aspirants के लिए Physical Geography, Indian Geography, Human Geography और World Geography को exam-oriented framework में revise करने का resource है। Earth structure, geomorphology, climate, monsoon, rivers, soils, vegetation, agriculture, minerals, industries, population, urbanisation, resources और geographical mapping जैसे प्रमुख areas को concepts और map-based learning के साथ तैयार किया जा सकता है।
